Our research programme is designed to support young researchers as well as established scientists and institutions in their efforts to find a cure for diabetes. The Foundation is actively looking for research projects in Norway and around the world that will eventually lead to improved treatment methods and, hopefully, a working cure for people with diabetes. Diabetes Wellness Norge

Diabetes Wellness Norge is pleased to announce a new deadline for it's Diabetes Research Grant.

Maximum Award - 200 000 NOK

Applications can be ​in the field of basic or clinical research in any area of diabetes including causes, complications, treatment and prevention.

Applications will only be considered from researchers working at Norwegian research institutions.

The application should be written in English.

Diabetes Wellness Norge Foundation's strategy is to finance projects whose focus is:
  • Diabetes prevention, complications and treatments
  • Causes of diabetes
  • A cure for diabetes

We primarily fund research that has a strong connection to type 1 and type 2 diabetes and that may ultimately benefit diabetes patients. This corresponds to the wishes of our donors and is the purpose of the fundraising foundation. Our ultimate goal is to find a working cure for people with diabetes.

Questions about the application procedure should be sent to research@diabeteswellness.se (in English).

Applications must be received on or before 17.00, Friday 24 January, 2025.

All applications received by the Diabetes Wellness Norge Foundation are treated confidentially, and they are registered and sorted for evaluation by the advisory committee.

The research projects for which the grant is applied for are evaluated based on the following parameters:

  • Significance in terms of the foundation's goals and objectives
  • Scientific qualification
  • Qualification and experience of the researcher and the research institute
  • What type of diabetes does the study apply to?

Those who do not receive a grant will be notified within a reasonable time after the decision to award grants has been made.
